A lovely, quiet haven close to a bustling thoroughfare →
A very pleasant place and with such a lovely view of the gardens it was easy to forget I was in an urban area. Proprietor was very helpful and accommodating particularly in relation to an early departure time. Ensured breakfast was available etc.
Great room + perfect service
Great room + perfect service → Quiet place, helpful- and nice people.
Very accommodating → Clean and comfortable guest house!
A welcome overnight stay
A welcome overnight stay → I stayed one night in my own room, in a larger party with two young athletes who occupied a 'family' room with a mother. All were made welcome for the outset. The rooms were adequate in size, well maintained, very clean & comfortable. The breakfast was good plentiful & a good choice.
Very good → This was just an overnight bed that was required as my friend and I were going to see Rod Stewart at night, we arrived to a very friendly welcome from Ann, were offered a hot drink or a glass of wine, we accepted coffee which was brought up to us. The room was clean and comfortable although the ensuite was disappointingly on the small side. The curtains had been drawn and the windows wide open as it…

Friendly and welcoming staff, a clean and pleasant stay → A very pleasant nights sleep in a quality guest house run by the friendliest of hosts.
Comfortable and convenient!
Comfortable and convenient! → It was ideally situated for my purpose and proved better than expected.
Comfortable and convenient
Comfortable and convenient → I was on a week long course at Birmingham Heartlands hospital - the location of Atholl Lodge was only a 10 minute drive away so an ideal location.
Very flexible, child friendly accomodation
Very flexible, child friendly accomodation → Stayed one night. Children enjoyed playing in the garden and being in the lounge. Had planned to be room only but had breakfast when we realised how cheap it was for the 5 of us. Were impressed that it would have been OK to have had a takeaway in the breakfast room or our own food in the fridge. If we had known beforehand would have planned to do this and probably stayed 2 nights as eating out is a…

The staff went out of their way to help us → Staff very helpful - when I phoned to say we would be late arriving they went out of their way to help us. We were offered the use of the kitchen if we wanted to eat something when we arrived even though it was late due to flight time. Breakfast was freshly cooked. The room was very clean and a good size.
Excellent value for money
Excellent value for money → A very friendly guest house and a lovely, well maintained room. Great breakfast. Robert and Ann were very helpful and friendly with any queries we had on the area. A very comfortable stay.
Best stay travelling Scotland to…
Best stay travelling Scotland to London → Even if the single room was a little bit small, it was suitable. I enjoyed so much that this guest house offers the opportunity of bringing my own food. If all B&Bs could choose this alternative, the life of travellers would be much easier. There was also a great atmosphere. My best stay during my 10 days travelling from Scotland to London.
Comfortable bed and breakfast -…
Comfortable bed and breakfast - ideal for families! → We used this guest house as a base for visiting Drayton Manor Theme park, which is just over 30 mins drive away. Spotlessly clean, welcoming owners and well appointed family room to sleep five, with quiet location. Excellent value breakfast and pleasant guest lounge, with off road parking. Would very highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
Service with a smile
Service with a smile → A Quick Stopover en-route to a second destination - the staff could not have been more helpful or considerate.
Wonderful, welcoming place to stay…
Wonderful, welcoming place to stay - especially with children → My friend and I took our 3 children to Birmingham for the night to visit Cadbury World and the National Sea Life Centre. We stayed in one room with 2 double beds and a single, and there was tons of room for us and all our "stuff". The hosts also allowed us the ability to bring in dinner and eat it in the dining room with the kids rather than heading out to a restaurant.
